Eli Strikes Again

The New England Patriots suffered a tough loss to the New York Giants on Sunday night last weekend. For the second consecutive super bowl Eli Manning and Giants defeated the Patriots with a 4th quarter drive that led to an Amhad Bradshaw touchdown. There have been many debates since sunday on the reasons for the pats loss. One reason for their loss was poor play by the team leader, Tom Brady who made a major mistake on the Patriots' opening drive. The Patriots were pinned down at the 5 yard line and Tom Brady threw the ball away and was called for intentional grounding which resulted in a safety. Another fault in the patriots play came from numerous pass drops throughout the game. One key drop was made by Wes Welker in the fourth quarter. Welker dropped a pass on the 10 yard line that would have most likely resulted in a touchdown. The pass was not perfect however and was thrown behind Welker and high as seen here.

Although many players did not perform up to their potential, you cant blame the loss on one player. The Patriots were simply out played by the Giants and that is the reason they lost this game.
